Vanden Hulk will move to the Miyazaki camp after a third-tier camp in Chikugoshi, Fukuoka Prefecture. He will stay in Miyazaki from Feb. 6 to Feb. 18.
An official from the Softbank club explained, "There are many young foreign players on our team, and it will help them a lot." He teaches and advises the players without any limits. Four foreign players from Softbank will participate in the Miyazaki camp. The two temporary coaches who previously achieved the Japan Dream will be a strong motivation for them.
The Japanese pro baseball immediately puts promising foreign players in the second and third tier teams. Softbank is the only team among the 12 teams in the two leagues to run up to the fourth tier teams.

Born in the Netherlands, Van den Hurk made his major league debut with the Florida Marlins in 2007. He played for the Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Pirates for six seasons. He pitched in 50 games and recorded 8 wins and 11 losses with a 6.08 ERA.

Van den Hurk had only four relief appearances for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2012. That winter, he turned to Asia. The Samsung Lions reached out their hand. His advance to the KBO League has become a turning point of his baseball career.
He has displayed impressive performance since the first year. He gained seven wins and nine losses during the regular season with a 3.90 ERA. He has changed dramatically in the post season. He pitched in three games (two starts) of the Korean Series, and pitched eight ⅔ innings with nine strikeouts and one run scored. He has contributed to Samsung's win for three consecutive years.
He was even stronger in his second year in 2014. He played in 25 games during the regular season and secured 13 wins. He garnered two wins with ERA (3.18) and strikeouts (180). He also started two games in the Korean Series and pitched 13 ⅔ innings. He had 12 strikeouts and three runs with an ERA of 2.03. Samsung has won the trophy for four consecutive years.
In the following year, he moved to Softbank and pitched for six years. In his first year, he won nine games without losing in the regular season. He started in the second game of the Japanese Series against the Yakult Swallows and recorded eight scoreless innings. He had 13 wins in 2017 and 10 wins in 2018. He has lived a long life as a mainstay pitcher.
Suleta, a native of Panama, joined Daiei (former Softbank) in 2003. She hit 37 home runs in 2004 and 43 home runs in 2005.
